Marka Registrada is a photojournalism agency that covers current events and sports in six of the nine capital cities of Bolivia. It was founded in 2015 by Alejandro Álvarez and Grace Gutiérrez. It currently has a network of photographers in La Paz as well as in Santa Cruz, Potosí, Oruro, Sucre and Cochabamba. It is defined as a free information service through current images or breaking news. "We publish our content so that it can be pirated," says its co-founder, referring to the interest in having the content widely disseminated. In July and August 2019, the agency organized a photographic exhibition called "La Paz que no se se" for the La Paz anniversaries. They exhibited a selection of 20 photographs of urban and working life in La Paz that were for sale physically and digitally. In April 2021, Marka Registrada launched MKR Sports 365, a special sports photojournalism product. This in turn has a weekly delivery in digital magazine format called 3, 2, 1 Sports that is distributed on Facebook and WhatsApp.Marka Registrada has various sources of income. On the one hand, they offer national and local advertising in their publications on social networks, their website and their digital magazine. Then, they produce audiovisual content for traditional media, especially the professional soccer league. They also provide consulting services for coverage of corporate, social and individual events. Finally, they offer advice and photographic solutions such as image banks for brands; and, upon request, they sell their photographs. In this television interview, its co-founder Grace Gutiérrez explains how this editorial proposal works on its anniversary in 2022.
