Building Salt Lake is Utah's leading source of commercial real estate and urban development news, founded in 2014 by Isaac Riddle, a Salt Lake City native with a BA in English literature from the University of Utah and a master's degree in journalism from Temple University. Riddle launched the outlet after writing for Next City, the Philadelphia Public School Notebook, and Salt Lake City Weekly, and previously teaching high school English in Philadelphia before returning to his home state to cover the development reshaping it. The outlet covers commercial real estate, urban planning, public policy, and accountability journalism focused on the actors shaping development along the Wasatch Front, from Salt Lake City to outlying communities.
