Facta.news

https://facta.news/
Facta.news is an independent spin-off of Pagella Politica. The growing amount of false news circulating in 2020 during the first Covid-19 lockdown persuaded Pagella Politica's founder and owner, Giovanni Zagni, to establish another media outlet to address general online disinformation so that Pagella Politica could keep its focus on political affairs. In late 2020, Zagni also changed the name of his publishing company from Pagella Politica SRLS to The Fact-Checking Factory SRL. During the pandemic, the audience of Facta.news grew rapidly.Being a member of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) since 2021, the publication complies with its Code of Principles regarding standards and transparency of sources, methodology, and content corrections. It has also been part of the Meta Third-Party Fact-Checking Program since 2020. All the information is available for free, and the publication is ad-free.The outlet has often been the subject of online attacks and threats.
