Headquartered in Montenegro, Fato Novo began operations in 1981 with a weekly print edition consolidated in the Vale do Caí region of Rio Grande do Sul. Over the years, it has adapted to digital to reach an even larger audience, with the main generalist and daily news editorials about the region. Guilherme Baptista, as well as being the outlet's director, is also the reporter responsible for investigating, writing and publishing the stories and has a family team to deal with the other areas of the company.
