Founded in 2007 and based in historic downtown Kalispell, the Flathead Beacon is an award-winning news organization devoted to thought-provoking journalism and commentary covering northwest Montana. Updated daily online, the outlet encourages reader participation in discussions about life in the Flathead Valley. The Beacon has earned consistent recognition for its work: the Montana Newspaper Association has repeatedly named its website the best in the state, and the outlet is frequently honored for advertising and design excellence.
