iLoveKent was founded in 2007 by Dana Neuts as an independent community news and events website focused on Kent, Washington. The site covered local news, events, arts, culture, businesses, nonprofits, and community resources for the city of Kent and surrounding areas. As of January 1, 2018, iLoveKent became part of South King Media, the independent family-run network of hyperlocal news and events sites for South King County operated by Scott and Theresa Schaefer. Neuts stepped back from day-to-day operations upon the acquisition, remaining as an advisor without editorial or operational involvement.
