The Peekskill Herald is a nonprofit digital news outlet dedicated to covering the city of Peekskill, New York. It began in 2019 as a weekly blog, with publisher Regina Clarkin writing one story per week about local life. In December 2020, a successful crowdfunding campaign provided the support needed to expand coverage and publish more stories. By July 2021, the Peekskill Herald was officially incorporated as a nonprofit, and in December 2021, it received 501(c)(3) status from the IRS.
