Runrun.es is an independent digital native media in Venezuela that combats official censorship through alliances with other media and NGOs, creating its own databases, connecting facts and mapping power in defense of democracy and with a focus on human rights. We carry out investigations and journalistic coverage in different formats and for different platforms, privileging the principles of diversity, inclusion, protection and defense of Human Rights, in a context of government censorship and violation of information freedoms. Runrun.es investigates in depth, we compare information, we demonstrate abuses of power and we tell it with sarcasm. We create and analyze public and private databases with journalistic precision to make them available to our users through all possible channels. We approach issues with a Human Rights lens and our investigations have a global impact and generate findings that have served as input in reports from organizations of the international justice system that protect Human Rights (UN OHCHR, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, OAS – IACHR, Transparencia Venezuela). Together with TalCual and El Pitazo we make up the Rebel Alliance Investigate and we have also joined national and transnational investigations to increase the reach and impact of the content. Armando.Info, Chicas Poderosas, Connectas, Editorial Board, Convoca, Correo del Caroní, Chronicle. Uno, De Correspondet, El Confidencial, Humano Derecho, ICFJ, InfoAmazonía, Miami, Pares, El Espectador, Transparencia Venezuela, VivoPlay, OCCRP, ICIJ are part of the media and organizations with which we have shared credits in research projects. Our commitment to the audience is through precision, transparency, impartiality, justice, independence, humanity and democracy. Among the recognitions we have achieved are three first places in the national award for investigative journalism awarded by Ipys; finalists in the 2016 and 2024 Gabo Awards; 2nd place in Colpin 2023 and finalist in the Global Investigative Journalism Network 2019
