The Brighouses, both longtime educators in the Rahway Public School District, view local journalism as a form of public service and a tool for fostering community engagement and healthy civic discourse. David Brighouse, a social studies and journalism teacher, brings over a decade of experience overseeing student media and engaging young journalists. Nicole Brighouse, a dedicated community volunteer and long-time leader in local organizations, contributes her expertise in community engagement and organizational leadership. Together, they officially launched TAPinto Clark in January 2024 after acquiring the franchise, building on the work of previous owners. The platform emphasizes trustworthy, non-partisan reporting while maintaining strong ties to the local community.
